Digital X-Rays

Chiropractors have a variety of diagnostic tools available to them, but digital radiography is one of the most important. It allows chiropractors to take x-rays quickly and accurately, which saves time and expense. Digital radiography also gives interns an opportunity to illustrate vertebral subluxations on images for patients, which can help explain care plans in detail as well as share results with family members or other doctors. The ability to take these x-rays home allows patients more freedom in how they share their results with others.

Teaching Chiropractic Students to Use Digital X-Ray Results: One of the benefits to digital x-rays is that chiropractic college interns have an opportunity to annotate images and explain what they see. This gives patients a clear idea not only how their spine should be in alignment, but also why it's important for them to follow care plans as well as how adjustments might be made if problems persist.

When doctors learn about this tool, we can use it on our own or teach other people about its benefits.

The ability for students and teachers alike to take these results home with them allows more freedom when sharing information with others who may need access. Patients are able give friends or family members copies of their x-ray images to share with others, or they can use them when preparing for their next chiropractic visit.

Digital X Rays do not take the place of other diagnostic tools, but it can be a helpful addition to any doctor's tool box.

A chiropractor who uses this tool will see that they can get more done, faster.

By using digital radiography in tandem with other tools like the Thompson technique and diversified techniques, we're able to accomplish a lot of work without having to spend too much time on one patient.

Digital radiography also means less expense because it's quick and accurate--no need for repeat visits or moving patients around if you don't have an x-ray machine at your practice. The only downside is that doctors may not be able to use their hands so directly when working on a spine; instead, there are instruments like probes which allow them to move light beams across vertebrae and look for misalignment (called vertebral subluxations).

The advantages of digital x-ray machines are clear: they allow chiropractors to do more work, faster and cheaper.
